Why do I need an Environmental Report?

Chancel Check
Chancel repairs are a medieval anomaly where the Church was granted powers to charge rectorial property for the upkeep of chancel of the parish church – this is an overriding interest.
The risk is unquantifiable, not detailed in the title documents, and can affect any property.
Of the 15,000 parishes in England 5,200 parishes (35%) are at risk.
Chancel Check is a low cost and accurate screening report designed to inform the legal profession as to whether or not a property is located within an historical parish where there continues to be a potential for chancel repair liability.
IF THERE IS A CHANCEL LIABILITY, DO YOU OFFER INSURANCE?
As we are not FSA regulated, we cannot offer this facility directly. However, we can put you in touch with a company that does offer such insurance.
